Indianapolis to San Francisco

This is a wonderful trip with a huge contrast of landscape between some of the major cities of the US. See Pacific White-sided Dolphins, Beluga Whales or Alaskan Sea Otters in Shedd Aquarium Chicago or walk the Navy Pier for a lakefront view. Fourth Street Elevator railway in Dubuque is the world's steepest and shortest scenic railway and definitely worth a visit. With trains, museums, parks, a zoo and many more you won't get bored in Colorado Springs. This route will also take you to Salt Lake City where you can visit Antelope Island State Park with white sandy beaches,you may see buffalo and bison and other thrilling wildlife. Visit Mount Rose in Reno which is a well known ski area and has beautiful hiking trails, or go to Truckee river Whitewater Park for a day of fun water activities! From Reno to San Francisco you will end your self drive holiday. Since San Francisco is a city of food just relax at one of the many restaurants andaste some of their best cuisine.
